Mission of
KYCEC
To promote the welfare and education of exceptional
children, the handicapped and the gifted.
To be
affiliated with and cooperate fully with the international organization of
the Council for Exceptional Children.
To serve as a
medium in the Commonwealth of Kentucky so that interested individuals may
better understand the problems of exceptionality; work to improve the
facilities for and education of exceptional children; and stimulate
interest, study and research relative to all problems pertinent to the
education and welfare of exceptional children.
To cooperate with other groups and agencies in order to create greater
public interest for the benefit of exceptional children.
